About Us

Why Twenty Fourth?

In a fast-paced world where it's easy to put the needs of others before your own, Twenty Fourth is your sanctuary. Our name signifies the importance of taking just one hour out of the 24 in a day to focus solely on yourself. We believe that dedicating this precious time to a practice of choice, be it a sporting pursuit or a more gentle, therapeutic retreat from every day life can be transformative. Regaining balance and strength, both physically and mentally can improve our day to day lives no end.

Where Twenty Fourth Came From

Twenty Fourth began with Jonnie, at 19 he started coaching full time under Private Kickboxing Tuition, a 121 kickboxing service for all levels and abilities in martial arts. People would come and train for fun, fitness, improving confidence and extra training for those already involved in martial arts. After a few years of of doing this he came to realise that while his clients enjoyed martial arts, it was only a part of reason they stuck around.

Hearing “It feels like a therapy session”, “This is the most important hour of my week” and “I don’t know what I’d do without coming here” from client after client, it was quite clear that the reason people attended sessions every week was not only what they learned, but how taking the time to focus on themselves made them feel. And so the idea for Twenty Fourth was born.
